In 2022 the Inter-GLAM project, run in partnership by Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica (FCRB), the Portuguese General-Directorate for Intervention on Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies (SICAD), the European Federation of Addiction Societies (EUFAS) and Hospital Clínic Barcelona (HCB) will co-produce a thematic strand of the 2022 European Conference on Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies on Global perspectives on addictions and drug markets. We are reaching out to colleagues across the addictions field to participate in this exciting work by contributing to the contents and programme of the Inter-GLAM thematic strand of LxAddictions22.
The Conference showcases leading research and action in addictions from around the world with a focus on stimulating debate and multidisciplinary and multi-sector networking. In 2019, it brought together 1300 participants from 80 countries. LxAddictions22 will be held on November 23-25, 2022.
The Inter-GLAM co-produced thematic strand in LxAddictions22 will include:
- Sessions in five sub-areas related to global challenges, new market challenges, drug use and lifestyles, global diversity in public health, and the impact of global health crises in addictions (see attached document for details of the topics)
- Inter-GLAM Cinema - showcasing entries selected from a video competition running alongside the traditional call for abstracts
- 120 competitive bursaries to support attendance at LxAddictions22
- Opportunities for participation in shaping the contents and debates
Joining a working group
We invite you to submit an expression of interest for joining one or more of the five multisectoral working groups which will contribute to developing sessions and lead on the debate in the sub-themes of the Inter-GLAM conference strand. The call for expressions of interest will be open until January 20th, 2022.

Submitting a video to the video competition Submissions are open for abstract proposals for the Inter-GLAM Cinema short-video competition with final videos submitted by May 16th, 2022. Videos should highlight activities and achievements in addiction prevention and treatment and/or stories of lived experience Proposals can be submitted until 31 January 2022 here: https://form.jotform.com/212923578600355
