Overview
Natural disasters are a risk factor for the development of mental disorders, so that attention to the mental health of the affected people is a priority. This text aims to describe the provision of mental health for people affected by the earthquakes of September 2017 and the needs of the population. From these observations, it is concluded that it is essential that the country has a national programme for Mental health care in critical situations and disasters, whose outlines are described in this article.
