SEXUAL RISK AND DRUG USE IN WOMEN

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between sexual risk behavior and drug use in women participating in an outpatient treatment program at the José Félix Ribas Foundations and The International Youth Challenge. The type of research was correlative descriptive, field, the design was non-experimental cross-sectional. The study population consisted of 25 women participating in an outpatient treatment program. The technique of information collection was the observation of the research, the research instruments consist of multiple alternatives, which determined that for the consumption pattern is consumed alone and monitored, because of the avoidance of problems at a frequency of several times a day, presenting a type of circumstantial consumption, among the factors associated with sexual risk behavior are : reasons, social circumstances, pre-sexual status, location, substance use and the people with whom it comes into contact, in the relationship between drug use and sexual risk behavior it was found that there is a high correlation between the two variables that certify that drug use exerts a high degree of influence on the sexual risk behavior of women.
