WHO Forum on Alcohol, Drugs and Addictive Behaviours

To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse is holding a three-day global forum event on alcohol, drugs and addictive behaviours.
Its aim is to bolster public health initiatives in these areas by increasing collaboration and strengthening partnerships among relevant organisations, networks and institutions.
As well as providing an opportunity to develop relationships, the Forum will address the following key topics:
- Global strategies for the implementation of alcohol controls and ways to reduce harmful consumption
- The public health dimension of the world drug problem
- The public health implications of addictive behaviours
ISSUP’s Executive Director, Jeff Lee, will present at the event which is attended widely by professionals within the field.
