Competition to Attend an International Summer Leadership Academy for Alcohol Harm Prevention, 2019
The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) and the Postsecondary Education Partnership—Alcohol Harms (PEP-AH) are offering students the opportunity to take part in the seven-day international Summer Leadership Academy for Alcohol Harm Prevention (the Academy) at Ljubljana University in Slovenia, June 16–22, 2019.
The Academy is a valuable opportunity for students to learn about global alcohol issues and alcohol harm prevention, build leadership skills and apply their knowledge to reduce alcohol-related harm on their campus.
Students participating in the Academy will:

Learn and exchange ideas and information about current alcohol issues and harm reduction strategies with world-renowned professors and international experts;

Learn about diverse drinking cultures and different drinking patterns among youth through conversations and interactions with students from 12 countries on three continents;

Develop and improve project management and leadership skills, and be empowered to apply lessons learned, by implementing an alcohol-related harm prevention project on campus; and
-
Take part in a unique opportunity to have a positive impact on peer health and well-being, and share knowledge with all PEP-AH members.
