The ISSUP staff held a two day meeting in Loughborough, UK over the weekend of 3-4 September to review the work plan for the year ahead. Much attention was given to the development of the Knowledge Share section of the ISSUP website in the presence of ISSUP’s two most recent staff appointments Livia Edegger and Ally Lee. Both will be working part-time on the development of the content of the website with a particular focus on the Knowledge Share section. Livia, who is based in Hamburg, Germany, will become a full-time staff member in December whilst Ally, based in Edinburgh, is working part-time to support Livia until she becomes full-time. Livia previously worked with Mentor International as its Programme Manager, whilst Ally has just completed his Masters degree at the University of Warwick and is also currently working as an Intern at the Institut français d'Écosse. ISSUP’s workplan provides an ambitious and challenging programme of work for the year ahead. It seeks to build the role and contribution of ISSUP in its work to support the professionalisation of the substance use prevention and treatment workforce.
