Training of Trainers Workshop on "Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral For Treatment" for Mental Health and Addiction Professionals.

The aim of this training workshop is to develop a team of professionals/ trainers who could replicate this training workshop across the country. To achieve this goal we wanted to increase their knowledge of substance abuse problems, screening, and assessment concepts and techniques. Further, the objective of this training course was to develop skills to use the screening tools and to develop skills to deliver the screening tools and brief intervention for those who are at risk for substance use or those already using substances and need treatment services. This training workshop was conducted at the institute of clinical psychology, University of Karachi, from October 15-16, 2021. In this training 17 mental health and addiction professionals from different cities participated.
