Marcela Tiburcio

Head of the Department of Social Sciences in Health at the National Institute of Psychiatry. Master's and PhD in Psychology from UNAM, Member of the National System of Researchers level 2. Professor at the undergraduate level at the Universidad Anáhuac Norte, and in the Residency in Addictions of the Master's Program in Psychology of the UNAM. Tutor of the PhD programs in Psychology and Public Mental Health at UNAM. She has participated in various research projects related to family mental health and substance abuse in urban and indigenous populations; Development and evaluation of prevention, early detection and brief intervention programs to reduce alcohol and drug abuse, as well as in the use of technology for the treatment of substance use problems. Member of the International Network of Brief Interventions for Alcohol and Drugs (INEBRIA).
