Dr. Gabriela Novotna is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina, Canada and a Co-Director of the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit [SPHERU]. Her research focuses on informing clinical, organizational, and policy interventions for the issues related to substance use and misuse. Her research interests include studies on the uptake of research findings into health and social services, including policy and community-university knowledge development and exchange.
She has studied extensively the experiences of addiction professionals who are themselves in recovery and how their experiences relate to their clinical decision-making.
