We are thrilled to report that the “Art of Healing" Global Event in Thessaloniki was a resounding success! With 800 participants from 123 countries, it was a week filled with insightful discussions, impactful workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.
The event, hosted by ISSUP Greece National Chapter, served as a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing the latest research developments in the field of addiction, with a strong focus on substance use prevention and the promotion of psychosocial health.
Keynote speakers highlighted the rising threat of synthetic drugs, such as Nitazenes, and shared strategies to combat these challenges effectively. The Global Coalition to Address Synthetic Drug Threats held working group meetings at the event, marking the first time the Coalition's working groups had come together in person. We were also honoured to host the formal launches of the Global Recovery Network (GRN) and the Global Women's Network (GWN) during the event.
The week began with two days of pre-conference activities involving ISSUP National Chapter delegates. This provided a space to share updates, discuss developments and to establish pathways for new collaborations and initiatives.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Thessaloniki. The warm hospitality and rich cultural experiences combined to add an unforgettable dimension to the conference.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to SEIRIOS, SYMVOLI, INL, ICUDDR and partners. Your meticulous planning and support made this event an exceptional forum for sharing knowledge and advancing workforce development in the fields of substance use prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery support.
Thank you for making "The Art of Healing" an enriching and memorable event!
