The “Engaging Youth in Prevention” course has officially begun, organised by the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) of the Organization of American States (OAS) in collaboration with ISSUP Mexico, hosted by Youth Integration Centers (CIJ). As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community-based prevention in Malaysia, an engagement session was conducted with the Tagal communities in Lawas, Sarawak, bringing together leaders and members from three villages.
This introductory meeting focused on initiating dialogue and building trust as the foundation for a Family Program. Rather than introducing a fixed intervention, the approach emphasised community ownership, cultural sensitivity, and co-creation.

The Ukraine Fogarty Research Training Workshop took place on March 26-28, 2026, at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine. This dynamic event brought together trainees and faculty from NIH Fogarty International Center training programs focused on HIV, TB, substance use and mental health research, global health, and bioethics.
