Resultados de la Linea de Base del Proyecto DOMES/ Baseline Study Results of the DOMES project

Estimados socios y grupos interesados,

Estamos agradecidos por su colaboración en la iniciativa DOMES. Nuestro trabajo juntos nos ha permitido que se complete una rigurosa encuesta de línea de base de hogares tanto en Pereira como en Dosquebradas. Esta colaboración también permite que los cuatro pilares del proyecto (prevención, tratamiento, recuperación y alternativas al encarcelamiento) avancen y comiencen a planificar e implementar programas, intervenciones y estrategias para reducir el uso de drogas ilícitas, el crimen y los problemas relacionados en ambas ciudades.

Estamos trabajando arduamente en la preparación de los datos de la línea de base. Muy pronto, esperamos compartir con ustedes los informes finales y brindarles información sobre los resultados realizando una serie de presentaciones. Nos gustaría lanzar la serie con un seminario web de una hora que destaca el trabajo que realizó el equipo de campo de línea de base (dirigido por Buddhi, SAS y el Centro Nacional de Consultoría, o CNC) en identificar líderes comunitarios y construir alianzas con los residentes y líderes al nivel municipal y comunal en ambas ciudades. Esta experiencia y los aprendizajes obtenidos son muy relevantes para el proyecto a medida que avanzamos hacia la siguiente etapa de implementación de programas. Esta sesión informativa se realizará a través de Zoom el 28 de septiembre de 2022 a las 9 a. m. hora de Colombia y tendrá traducción disponible. La invitación con el enlace para conectarse a la reunión será enviado pronto. Esta primera sesión informativa incluirá una presentación estructurada y tiempo para preguntas y respuestas y diálogo con el equipo de Buddhi. Reconocemos que todos tenemos agendas muy completas y que este horario no funcionará para todos los grupos de interés. Por esta razón, estaremos grabando la sesión informativa. La grabación y todos los materiales estarán disponibles en el sitio web de ISSUP.

Dear partners and stakeholders,

We are grateful for the partnership and shared work on the DOMES initiative. Our work together has allowed a rigorous baseline survey of households to be completed in both Pereira and Dosquebradas.  This partnership is also allowing the four pillars of the project (prevention, treatment, recovery, and alternatives to incarceration) to move forward and begin planning and implementing programs, interventions, and strategies to reduce illicit drug use, crime, and related problems in both cities.

We are hard at work preparing the baseline data for presentation and look forward in the very near future to sharing the final reports and to briefing you on the results.  We would like to kick off our briefing series with a one-hour webinar that highlights the work that the baseline field team (led by Buddhi, SAS and the Centro Nacional de Consultoria—or CNC) did to identify community leaders and to build partnerships with residents and leaders at the municipal and comuna levels in both cities. This experience and the lessons learned are very relevant to the project as we move into implementation.  This briefing will occur via Zoom on 28 September 2022 at 9am Colombia time and will have translation available. The invitation with the link to connect to the meeting will be shared soon. This first briefing will include a structured presentation and time for questions and answers and dialogue with the Buddhi team.  We know that all of us have very busy schedules and that this time will not work for all of our stakeholders. For this reason, we will be recording the briefing and the recording and all materials will be available on the ISSUP website.

We are excited to begin our briefing series and especially excited to share learnings and lessons learned that will support and benefit implementation.  We hope you will be able to join the briefing.
