The official launch of ISSUP Botswana was held on Friday, 29th April 2022. The launch which was a seamlessly executed in-person event, saw participation from various ministerial and international dignitaries.

The National Chapter in Botswana is hosted by the Botswana Association of Addiction Professionals (BAAP).

Dr Morekwe, the chairperson of ISSUP Botswana described the event as a momentous occasion whilst reiterating the relevance of professionalizing the workforce in substance use prevention and treatment.

Other participants in the launch also communicated their experiences as beneficiaries of the ISSUP advantage especially within the avenue of capacity building.

We are excited to have ISSUP Botswana join the growing number of national chapters around the world, and we are looking forward to working together in the pursuit of our mandate in drug demand reduction.

ISSUP Botswana – welcome to the National Chapter family!
