We are excited to announce the launch of the ISSUP Expert Days.

This new development will provide opportunities for those working in substance use prevention, treatment and recovery support to learn and develop through being in direct contact with experts in the field by participating in webinars, reviewing recorded webinars and interviews, Q&A sessions, and using the various resources, tools, materials and documents used to support them. This will allow for direct interaction between experts and practitioners.

To celebrate the launch of this new development, we are hosting our first ever webinar.

Join us on February 20th, 2020 for our first webinar during which we will explore several issues on the intersection of teenage brain development and alcohol and drug use.

You will learn what science says about the personal and social effects of alcohol and drugs on the adolescent developing brain and how brain maturation can impact both healthy and unhealthy risk behaviors. The issue of using alcohol and drugs during adolescence, as well as the impact of the shift towards medicalisation and legalisation of marijuana, will also be discussed. This webinar is a great opportunity for practitioners, teachers, parents, researchers, policy makers, community leaders and others working with young people to gain an insight into the latest research on brain development during adolescence.
