What is included:

  • A pre-evaluation to determine strengths, improvement, and baseline data for indicators to quantify and qualify change in treatment structure, content, processes, and outcomes on program and patient levels.
  • On-site review of every policy to improve the women-centered response of care, review of forms used with patients, and recommendations for changes to provide a women-centered care focus.
  • The physical treatment site will be reviewed, and patients and staff will create art that reflects hope, recovery, and a women-responsive treatment.
  • Based on the pre-evaluation, staff will receive training to improve trauma-responsive care, women-responsive care, patient physical and psychological safety, and other issues that are found lacking.
  • In a shared decision-making process, the staff and TA resource people will determine measures and outcomes to evaluate, outline and implement the process to evaluate the changes made in the program to improve program and patient outcomes (e.g., completion of treatment, reduction in leaving against medical advice, drug abstinence, no new legal involvement, etc.).
  • A post-evaluation report will provide the treatment program with a road map to follow for continued implementation, improvement, and on-going consulting calls will be held to troubleshoot issues.
