ICUDDR Conference 2023

Dear ISSUP Members,

The Annual ICUDDR took place August 9-11, 2023, at Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in partnership with Mahidol University. 

We had an exceptional opening with remarks from the US Consul General to Chiang Mai, Thailand and the Vice President of Chiang Mai University and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University.

The conference focused on the spectrum of behaviour with presentations related to Prevention, Harm Reduction and Treatment and pedagogy. These topics were spread over 6 plenaries and 15 sessions. We had 147 ICUDDR members participating and since we did this meeting in collaboration with 12th Thai Substance Use Conference we had an additional set of 200 participants.

Finally at the conference we also announced that in June 2024, ICUDDR will hold the next annual meeting in collaboration with ISSUP in Thessaloniki, Greece.
